Our team specializes in the design, development and manufacture of advanced hard armor solutions for Military, Law Enforcement and Personal Security.  Our expertise is in creating innovative lightweight composite hard armor systems with the most advanced materials and processes.  We specialize in providing R&D services for the U.S. Military and other private entities. Leveraging our extensive experience with U.S. Military development programs allows us to design and evaluate our armor against small arms ammunition that are forth coming and generally unknown to civilians.

The Engense team has experience developing and producing armor systems for the Marines, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Special Forces. We have conducted countless hours of research and development designing and testing novel systems to defeat various threats. Our facility is equipped with a military grade ballistics lab able to accommodate testing and evaluation of almost any small arms ammunition.  Our ability to control our clay block consistency and lab environment allows us to test against various conditions, giving Engense an edge when developing products for a specialized customer.

Our team at Engense has extensive experience in development and production of advanced hard body armor inserts for military applications.  Our team has developed and produced thousands of SAPI, ESAPI, XSBI and other special forces plates.   We are prepared to respond to RFP’s and specialty programs as specified by the most stringent government requirements.

 

Vehicle Armor

Engense offers unique vehicle armor solutions by customizing our composites to various threat levels defeating both fragmentation and armor piercing small arms. Engense vehicle panels are an excellent alternative to heavy and bulky steel armor by reducing weight significantly to provide better agility and fuel economy while mitigating structural stress.

Aircraft Armor

The Engense team can provide options for innovative light weight armor solutions applicable in both rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft. We understand the critical necessity of maintaining low weight for maneuverability and strategic positioning of the system for weight and balance requirements. Our team has experience with floor armoring the Blackhawk helicopter.

Ballistic Composite Panels

At Engense, we understand ballistic protection solutions are more complex than just stopping the threat.  Different environmental conditions, structural requirements or specialty performance characteristics can greatly influence the composition and performance of an armor solution.  Leveraging a variety of composite material options and ancillary supporting materials, Engense can produce both monolithic or hybridized solutions in both flat and complex curvatures.

OEM Partnerships
We have extensive history in designing and developing hard armor for body, shield and vehicle applications.  Our extensive expertise in both monolithic and ceramic/composite hybrid systems yields the lightest weight to performance solutions available.

Our product base includes level IIIA, III and IV hard armor plates, side plates, shields, and other custom shaped hard armor panels for vehicle, aircraft or marinecraft applications. Our fundamental understanding of composite design allows Engense to better leverage various advanced ballistic composite materials to optimize our product offerings..
